1. Our Intellectual Property

All content published on Geek Mindspace, including but not limited to magazine issues, articles, images, graphics, videos, original artwork, logos, website design, and editorial content, is the exclusive property of Geek Mindspace unless otherwise credited.

This content is protected by:

  • Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)

  • Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works

  • International copyright agreements

You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, display, or exploit any content from our platform without prior written permission.

2. Media & Fair Use
We occasionally reference or embed third-party content (e.g., images, trailers, public posts, or videos) under the principle of fair use, as outlined in Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act, for purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and education.

Where possible, we also use media assets provided directly by studios, publishers, and creators, such as official media kits, press releases, and promotional materials, intended for public use in coverage and editorial content.

3. DMCA Takedown Requests

If you believe that material on Geek Mindspace infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

Please email info@geekmindspace.com with the subject line: DMCA Takedown Request and include the following:

  • Your name and contact information

  • A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed

  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner

  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information you’ve provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner

  • Your electronic or physical signature

Upon receiving a valid takedown notice, we will review the claim and remove or restrict access to the disputed content if appropriate.

 


 

4. Counter-Notification Process

If your content has been removed and you believe it does not infringe copyright, you may file a counter-notification in accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Please email us with the subject DMCA Counter-Notice and include:

  • Your name and contact information

  • The URL of the content that was removed

  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification

  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate U.S. Federal District Court

  • Your electronic or physical signature

We will review your counter-notification and may restore the content unless the original complainant files a court action.

 


 

5. Protection of Our Content

As a publisher of original digital works, we also reserve the right to enforce our own copyrights. Unauthorized reproduction or redistribution of our magazine issues, images, or any other proprietary content may result in DMCA takedown notices, cease-and-desist actions, and/or legal proceedings.

 


 

6. User-Generated Content (UGC)

From time to time, Geek Mindspace may feature videos, fan art, memes, commentary, or creator-submitted content as part of our issues or social media promotions.

By submitting any content to Geek Mindspace (via email, social media tags, or dedicated submission forms), you confirm that:

  • You are the original creator of the content, or have full permission to submit it

  • You grant Geek Mindspace a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, modify, or republish your content across our magazine, website, social channels, and ads

  • You understand that submissions may be used for promotional or editorial purposes, with credit whenever possible

We respect creator ownership and will remove any featured content upon verified request by the rightful copyright holder.
